  2. NO, NO, and a big fat NOPE!
  3. Screw winter. Winter can go ^%*%^& itself. 90 in Florida .... isnt that sorta rare?
  4. This is the Beaufort scale that was originally developed in 1805 by Royal Navy Officer Francis Beaufort, and used officially for the first time in the 1830's on the HMS Beagle under the command of Captain Robert FitzRoy who later went on to setup the Met Office (United Kingdoms official bureau of meteorology). This scale is also used during Skywarn training to assist spotters to accurately estimate wind gusts during severe weather. photo credit: noaa.gov
  5. This is the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale used to classify the intensity of hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean north of the equator and in the Pacific Ocean north of the equator and east of the International Date Line. The scale was developed in 1971 and was introduced to the public in 1973. The scale was largely modified in 2010 with minor tweaks in 2013 to produce the scale we have today.
  6. This is the Enhanced Fujita Scale used to determine the intensity of tornadoes. This scale was adopted for use by the United States National Weather Service in 2007, and later by Environment Canada in 2013. It should be noted that the wind scale that Environment Canada uses is slightly different then the one posted here which is used by the National Weather Service. Photo Credit: noaa.gov
  7. Ahh okay. Yeah I dont really use satellite on a day-to-day basis. Using for pure radar its great.
  8. I use both of them, and have had very few issues with either of them, in fact im using WSV3 right now. While WSV3 does not appear to be as optimized as GREarth, I do like some of the added "eye candy" as well as being able to change the views from top down to more of a horizontal look. What were some of the issues you encountered?
  9. It don't have to look EXACTLY like this but this is a good guide.... State | County (if you know the county) | City | Nearest Major Cross Streets Date | Local Time Report description... please provide if wind direction was measured or estimated Also include a picture if you have one. Examples: Michigan | Wayne County | Detroit | Woodward Ave & Jefferson 4/30/2019 5:07pm Estimated wind gust of 60mph and quarter sized hail Ohio | Montgomery County | Kettering | Far Hills & Stroop 4/30/2019 4:24pm I am currently at listed location and can see a tornado on the ground approx 3 miles to my SW and it appears to be moving NE. Debris is visible.
